Thanksgiving Holiday Entertaining

This year, our family isn't celebrating Thanksgiving the traditional way. We are headed out to the desert in our 5th Wheel to go dirt bike riding and quad-ing. I agreed to do this only because I can still have Thanksgiving dinner in my trailer! This morning I decided to try a recipe I found on Pinterest. These doughnut muffins were awesome. They were super easy to make and a perfect addition to my morning coffee and the kids' bubbly juice! Give them a try. They will please any doughnut or muffin lover!

I'm so excited to try this new wine. There are 2 varieties I'm excited about. Be Radiant and Be Flirty (Riesling and Pink Moscato). We had a pool full of kids yesterday...12 to be exact. What a fun afternoon even though the sun barely came out. There was lots to eat, including these:

Hawaiian Sweet Rolls

A few weeks ago, my husband bought me a new bread machine. My old one fell off the counter while making bread (it's a long story!) Anyway, I've been trying new recipes and today tried this one. Can I just say, "amazing"?

The Hawaiian roll connoisseur in the house was impressed and said after the first bite, "I'm in Hawaiian roll heaven". So, go ahead. Break out your bread machine. You know that boxy thing you only bring out on special occasions? It's always a special occasions for Hawaiian sweet rolls. Just think, in 3 hours or so you could be biting into a sweet, soft pillow of yumminess. Completely worth the carbs. I promise.

I'm back

My laptop screen went belly-up. Meaning I had to be sitting at my desk connected to an external monitor to use my machine. So blogging stopped because I always did it while sitting on the couch after the kids went to bed. My birthday was just a few days ago and my dear husband bought me a MacBook Air. Ahhh...bliss. I'm blogging now as I sit by the pool, watching the kids play. I'm back... Watch out.

Thanksgiving Feast

Today was Josh's Thanksgiving Feast at school. I was remarking to another mom that this was my 5th (yes 5th) Thanksgiving Feast. Wow. That made me feel so old!

Conversation of the Day

While coming home from Bible Study on Tuesday morning. Josh was sitting in the back seat, quietly eating his sandwich. Out of the clear blue I hear him say:

Josh: Trust in the Lord with all your heart.
Mommy: What did you say?
Josh: Trust in the Lord with all your heart.
Mommy: Did you learn that at your class at church?
Josh: Yep.

I'm thanking God every day for Compass Bible Church Not only does it meet the needs of adults, meets the needs of children and teaches them God's Word. I'm so thankful for our church and that were invited there by some dear friends almost 2 years ago.

Yes, Josh. Trust in the Lord with all your heart. I will remember that. My prayer is that you do too!

Truly Awesome

If you can't make chocolate chip cookies. These are a great substitute! Packed FULL of chocolate chips, bigger than that "other" brand that you sometimes buy. Put them in the microwave for a few seconds and you'll think you just pulled freshly baked cookies from your oven. Some might say that these are better because there are no cookie sheets or mixing bowls to clean up!

Thanks to Bzzagent, I was able to join this campaign and give them my honest opinion of these Truly Awesome Homestyle Chocolate Chip Cookies. Yum! Yum! Yum!

Nature's Own Bread

I've started a new bzzagent campaign. I'm part of the campaign for Nature's Own Bread. I got my free coupon in the mail a few days ago. The kids love the softness. I love the healthy part. The bread makes a great sandwich, great cinnamon toast and my kids' favorite, "butter bread".
