The Last Supper

Last night we had the last supper we'll have with my parents for quite some time. You see, on Sunday, they get in their car and start the drive to Virginia to their new home and job. It's really hard to imagine that this day has finally come. We've talked about this day coming for so many months. I'm in denial that it's here.
So, the last supper consisted of homemade spaghetti and meatballs, homemade garlic bread, and pie galore! There were many laughs and giggles from the grandkids and there were many tears as well.

Shasha and Papa, we'll miss you so much. Drive safe and get that house ready. We'll be there for a visit before you know it.

Thank you for giving dad and I your blessing to go. Never thought that the Lord would reach down and reveal a new work for us to do in a different place at this time in our lives. I always thought we would be in CA. as our permanent home . But as I frequently reminded you and your sister.....don't ever put your roots down so deep that when God says it's time to go that you can't pull up and move on. So I must take my own advice. It was a sweet evening and I loved our prayer time together. Hurry and come to VA!

Marsha, very good and Godly advice. I am praying for your new adventure. And I understand what you are going through. Thats how we feel every time we leave Calif. after our visits with our family. Distance is difficult. "God, please protect your servants as they depart to their new assignment, ordered by You, and
may the time you give them at Patrick Henry be one that Glorifies Your Holy Name and continue to grow them in your grace and knowledge". Amen. Love, GG
