Thanksgiving Feast

Today was Josh's Thanksgiving Feast at school. I was remarking to another mom that this was my 5th (yes 5th) Thanksgiving Feast. Wow. That made me feel so old!

Josh and his teacher, Mrs. Puck

His Thanksgiving Place Mat (I think I've kept all the kids' placemats! I'm such a sap!)

Me and My Big Boy!

Conversation of the Day

While coming home from Bible Study on Tuesday morning. Josh was sitting in the back seat, quietly eating his sandwich. Out of the clear blue I hear him say:

Josh: Trust in the Lord with all your heart.
Mommy: What did you say?
Josh: Trust in the Lord with all your heart.
Mommy: Did you learn that at your class at church?
Josh: Yep.

I'm thanking God every day for Compass Bible Church Not only does it meet the needs of adults, meets the needs of children and teaches them God's Word. I'm so thankful for our church and that were invited there by some dear friends almost 2 years ago.

Yes, Josh. Trust in the Lord with all your heart. I will remember that. My prayer is that you do too!

Pumpkin Patch

Joshua got to visit the pumpkin patch for the first time today. He's watched his sister and brother do this every year with their preschool classes and finally got to experience it for himself. He loved petting the animals and picking his own vegetables. He loved the tractor ride and running through the pumpkin patch. We had a fun afternoon!

Four Years Old

The baby is 4. THE BABY IS 4! How is that possible?????? It just seems like yesterday when we were in this stage:

Now we are in this stage:

Josh, we love you so much. You are a special gift to us. Your smile lights up an entire room and your love for all things with wheels makes me smile. You will always be our "love bug", "kissing bandit", and "pockmorn" eater. We pray you continue to love Jesus and grow to know Him more each day! Happy Fourth Birthday!

Better late than never

First day of school. Doesn't seem like we've been in school for 2 weeks, but we have. The kids are adjusting very well to their new school. They are making friends and fitting right in! Zack was blessed with 2 friends in his class. One from preschool and one from church. Gabby didn't know anyone but that didn't stop her from making a new friend everyday for the first week of school. We are thankful for a smaller school and the homey feel it brings!

Josh is loving being at preschool. He likes his class and his teacher. He's so glad he can finally go to "Bubba's skool"

It's all Pretend

Tuesdays and Thursdays are fun days because I've got Josh all to myself for almost 3 hours. Too many times I spend my time at home trying to catch up on housework but today, I said, "Forget the housework! Let's go play pretend!" We headed to Pretend City

The Boys' Green Thumb

This morning the boys and I did some yard work. I couldn't find my small shovel to dig holes with so I asked Zack to get me a spoon from the kitchen. Big mistake. While I was working on trimming another bush, Zack proceeded to bang my spoon on the sidewalk. Now, it's rough around the edges. Who would want that in their mouths?
So, after I quickly removed the spoons from my 4 year olds hands, I dug some holes and we planted the flowers we got from Pretend City's Spring Event. Aren't they cute?

On a completely different subject, my Mom sent me a photo of my Dad and his two sisters when they were very little. Doesn't that sweet little boy in the middle look like my sweet little Joshy?
